Welcome to the Christian world, Vince – part 2

Baby Vince’s baptism did not take very long. Many people were asking if it was long because we had it in a Traditional latin rite. For us, it didn’t take long time because we are used to it, and why not use this rite that it is now available for the church to administer? It is a beautiful rite though, Baby Vince’s godparents provided a side by side latin and English translation copies. While the priest says it in latin, readers who haven’t encountered latin can understand while reading the English translation. The rite has lots of rituals that includes… Continue reading

While at home premises in a charity house

After our hotel stay for one week expired, we stayed in Ronald Mcdonald charity house for us to extend our stay in Syracuse. A social worker referred us to stay there after I had my emergency hospitalization because I delivered a preterm baby and that our baby was still admitted in the hospital. For how long, we did not know at that time as for what the Pedia doctor said, it depends on how our baby cope up to become more mature in surviving the outside environment. It was a little bit embarrassing to stay in a charity house but… Continue reading

Our first day trip to Syracuse and first night stay in a hotel

What an eventful day it was during our car trip to Syracuse, New York a couple of weeks ago. Indeed, it was a six hours trip. We had at least 2 rest stops on the way there, and 2 stops for us to visit my husband’s relatives houses in Rochester, New York. They expected us to come and it was fun meeting and bonding with them the second time. I was too shy to take pictures but I hope Aunt Joanne will send us her pictures soon. It was my first time to see Rochester city and I saw lots… Continue reading

Mom stayed put

Thanks to Roman May

When my mom told me she was going to stay in the farmhouse when dad died, I was really opposed. It just didn’t seem safe to have her out there all by herself and she didn’t even know how to use a cell phone, much less a computer! She was bound and determined, though, so I knew I had to do what I could to make it a better life for her. The first thing I did was get her internet through WildBlueDeals.com and teach her how to do the basics like send emails and sign… Continue reading

Welcome to the Christian world, Vince – part 1

Last Sunday, baby Vince was finally baptized. It may sound early, but my husband and I decided it that way so that that important celebration will be settled at once. It was a little bit rough preparation but I am glad I was able to organize our outfits this time. My husband and I just wear white tops and black bottoms while George and Vince were in special clothing. Baby Vince was wearing a white baptism garment I bought from Ebay and George was wearing a black tie tuxedo which I also bought in Ebay. I loved them because I… Continue reading

George misses to play outdoors

It just occurred to us today that George seemed to enjoy when we are going out of the hospital rather than staying long time inside the hospital. The poor thing is bored in our routine. So ones in a while, in one of my breaks after breastfeeding baby Vince every 3 hours, I suggest to my husband we should go outside somewhere that is a different atmosphere. Since I am spending another whole night in the hospital today to feed baby 8 feedings in a row around the clock, I told him we could go the three of us, tomorrow… Continue reading
