Five Years In America

This year marked my fifth year of living with my husband here in America. Those years has been packed with lots of memories. I am so thankful to my family, friends and most of all to God who makes all impossible things possible. It’s kind of a long story but I remember my husband seeked an immigration attorney┬áto process my Visa. Not that I have done wrong or something, he just wants to make things go smoothly because he is juggling it with his busy job at school. I never thought of finding an American just to get here in America. My friend just passed my picture to him without my consent. Among the three ladies she recommended, he has less hopes in me because I’m too young and beautiful for him. To cut the story short, we exchanged letters, emails, text messaging and internet calls for a couple years and we got married after I graduated in college and took my professional board exam. It took us 8 months to get my Visa and I got to America a month after. It was a bitter-sweet memory that changed my life. I am grateful leaving my family with their blessing and just this year, I got to visit back there with my kids. Life is too short, indeed. Enjoy it to the fullest. Pay attention to God’s Grace. And be always a blessing!
