My kids were surprised to see a huge chicken and it turned out to be a turkey during our Thanksgiving dinner at my Mom in law’s house. We love eating the delicious home baked turkey! I’m so thankful to have a loving Mom in law for baking our turkey and that she and my bro in law did all the baking of the main dishes for the Thanksgiving celebration this year.
She wanted me to just bring salad and vegetables during the dinner. It took us long time to go to her house because we have to shovel snow out… Continue reading
Our Fall season came too fast this year. For some reason I wasn’t able to capture nice pictures from my T2i. But when I browsed my iPod photo gallery, I found many nice Fall pictures in it. It’s funny because I never care about it’s camera pics. It could be because I just downloaded the latest version of software update in it.
And here’s my favorite camera subjects, my husband and my kids. It was taken after we went to church in All Saints Day. I love how this boys bond. It always makes me happy to see my husband… Continue reading
A week ago, we celebrated All Saints day according to our liturgical calendar. We went to a noon Holy Mass at church and we stayed to pray inside the church for a little bit and tour the kids on the Baptismal area of the church where they preserved the old, religious stained glass windows. It was nice to see the kids curious and recognized the images in the stained glass.
After that, we went home and did a family craft together. I prepared coloring pages for each of us to color and I cut them to form into hats or… Continue reading
One of the fun things we did as a family in All Saints Day was to do coloring pages together. I printed out black and white coloring pages about Saints and this one is Little G’s artwork. He was determined to use the watercolor after he saw me using it. This page is about his Patron Saint who is Saint George and the Dragon.
He chose the colors in the watercolor all by himself. He usually asks me first if the color he’s thinking to put on a page is ok but at that time, he didn’t. Daddy and Mommy… Continue reading
The Daddy is teaching the boys to butcher their pumpkins. We did it together after he got home last night. He is the expert in this sort of thing and it was nice to see him bond with the boys. I bought 2 big pumpkins and 2 small ones. This is the first time that Little G got to do some carving in his pumpkin with Daddy’s assistance. Little V helped in taking out the seeds in his pumpkin. It was a messy activity but glad to see everyone had fun!
I also got to do a pumpkin carving on… Continue reading
My 2 year old is very observant on what his 4 year old brother do in homeschooling. There are times, even for a few seconds that I’m away from Little G, Little V grabs the crayons and color his brother’s work. It gets messy sometimes and so I make 2 photocopies of each coloring pages that Little G is going to do.
I’m surprised though that at a young age, Little V is very interested in doing coloring art. At least it’s not very messy and you can identity objects in the picture. This picture is what he colored lately.… Continue reading
