Front Yard Flowers
My kids joined me in exploring the surroundings of our house lately. There’s so many things to be done. Mostly taking out weeds, fixing some landscaping in the front and back yards and doing some vegetable gardening.

I’m happy to see more of the Spring flowers blooming in the right side of the entrance in our house. The ones in the left side had lots of blooms but tall weeds needs to be taken out. I need more time to do this though. The creeping phlox like the once on top of the background in this picture, gets… Continue reading

Hosting family gatherings, church celebrations and other parties are open opportunities for women to show off their favorite recipes. There are times that we need to prepare something fast without taking our family time especially on parties that fall on Sundays. This is true for me, and that I always feel good when someone complimented that my dish taste delicious. Every other Sunday, we have a lunch gathering at our church. I either bring a simple dish like lasagna, or dessert dish like jello with fruit… Continue reading
Peony Sprouts

When do peony grow sprouts? The answer is usually on middle spring and check out what zone does your state belong. Chances are, peonies might and might not survive in your area. I’m lucky that I live here in Pennsylvania and I can grow peonies in my backyard. They are so awefull gorgeous when blooming! They have large and sweet scented blooms. In order to grow peonies in your garden, buy some roots at your nearest Garden center or ask some from your neighbor. Plant it during Fall where you can still water it a few weeks before the last frost.
Early Spring Flowers In The Yard

How’s your spring surroundings lately? Did you see any of your flowers coming back from last year’s gardening? I didn’t do lots of gardening at this particular area in my house, the front yard last year, but I did plant some plants a couple of years ago. I see my creeping phlox turning green and the daffodils are blooming. It’s so rewarding to see them again after those hard work and being anxious if I did the job right. Laughs. I’m looking forward to see my creeping phlox and bleeding hearts to bloom anytime soon.
New Walls After Housefire
My Mom in law and I visited her house the other day to see the progress of the house fixations after the house fire that happened 5 months ago. Yes, the fixations were that slow because their insurance company paid the workers in delay periods. The first floor of her house needed serious fixations after the fire that started in the kitchen. At least there is now new dry walls in their kitchen, laundry, dining and living room. They also have new ceiling too. A worker stopped by in our house today to discuss to Mom what paint colors she… Continue reading
