A nice view from hospital window

It was June 6 this month that I got admitted in the St. Joseph’s hospital in Syracuse for emergency cervical dilation. And it was June 9 that they transferred me to a postpartum room. It was a different room with fancy features and it has a big glass window that has a very nice view of the Syracuse city in it. I took pictures and here is one during the day. We are at the fifth floor of the hospital and it is a little bit high that one could probably use one of those bushnell binoculars to see a… Continue reading

While at Clinton Square park

A few days ago, I kept on bugging my husband to look for a postal service center where I could send my Father’s day card to my Father in Philippines and some postcards to friends. It turned out that there is one a few blocks away from the Ronald Mcdonald charity house where we stayed while baby Vince is in the hospital. I am so glad I was able to send my card for my father that day and it also turned out that the office is nearby the city’s famous park, the Clinton Square park. It has lots of… Continue reading

Our precious moments with baby Vince

When I was in the hospital, I took lots of my time visiting baby Vince in the NICU. I want to hold my new baby. And its same feeling that his Dad has for him. A few updates about him is that he still gets jaundiced, so they put him in some hours of phototherapy so he can excrete his fluids from his kidneys and to be less puffy and edema to his skin. I noticed he has been very hungry but he sucks only a few seconds and gets sleepy. The nurse said that, that is normal for preterm… Continue reading

Daddy and Mommy is missing George

My husband and I expressed today that we are really missing our eldest son today. I cant help myself but teardrops fell in my eyes as I am watching these pictures. We took this during the first night we arrived here in Syracuse. We are so happy and excited back then. We are still happy though that baby Vince has finally arrived, but there are still some stress he still in the hospital and we are like orphans living here in Syracuse. Anyhow, we have to focus on what’s happiness that came into our life and time to move on.… Continue reading

Facial changes after pregnancy labor

At last, I was able to take a bath after 5 days of my pregnancy labor. I felt so sticky even though my room is in air-conditioned. As expected, there are a few changes in my body now that I am in my postpartum state. I got itchy stretch marks in my tummy and legs and some acne in my back and in my face. I don’t know why I got acne in my face but it might be because of the dry cold air inside the building. The sweat tend to dry out in the skin when you get… Continue reading

George’s Mrs. Piggy

I opened up Mrs. Piggy tummy today after five months of feeding her coins for savings. She’s a birthday gift from George’s grandma and we opened her quite a few times already and lately, I was able to gather 25 dollars worth of one dollar bills and quarter coins. Poor Mrs. Piggy, we have to do this so we could have some money to add on our shopping and touring time to some malls and parks in Syracuse. I bet its going to be an expensive trip to be in a big city and we’ll try not to be over… Continue reading
